Let's get started. Now that we know the benefits of rose water, lets learn how t make it.
Things you'll need:
Roses (fresh or dried)
Pot & Lid
Take 1 fresh rose, separate and rinse the petals. If you grow your own roses and don't use anything harmful then you can skip the rinse part. Remember the fresher the roses the better but if you've had some for a while and don't want to waste them then use them!
Place your roses into a pot and pour your water over them. You don't want to use too much water just enough to slightly cover the side. See picture below.
(You can add a little vodka as a preservative. However, this can last in your fridge for up to 6 months.)
Place the lid on the pot and set your stove to low heat. You don't want to overcook the roses so make sure not to turn the heat up. You want to leave that on the heat for about 20 minutes, no longer than 30 minutes.
Lastly, you want to get your mason jar and strain ready. After the 20-30 minutes are done pour your mixture into the jar. See the picture below.
You can pour the solution into a smaller bottle like a dropper or anything you have. There are a lot of methods to make rose water but this is an easy guide to do at home.
